Full description
This felted poppy picture has been created using wool and silk fibres. The woollen fibres have been laid out to create the background and red silk fibres added to the foreground to create the poppies. The fibres bind together during the felting process which also creates a wonderful texture to the surface of the picture. Once felting is complete, hand embroidery has been used to create additional detail of the poppy stems and stamen.
The picture has then been mounted in a white 8" x 8" card mount with a picture area of 4" x 4" ready for framing.
