This drypoint print was produced from one of my own photos of silver birch trees at Bentley Woods in Suffolk.
This method of drypoint involves making scratches into a printing plate with an etching tool which is then inked and wiped so that the ink goes into the etched lines.
The mono print technique is the second stage where more ink is applied to the plate surface in an experimental manner, using different tools to make marks into the ink giving the print an experimental style.
