This piece was inspired by one of the gorgeous ceramic bawls created by Lara Scobie, an amazing ceramic artist based in Edinburgh, Scotland. To achieve the layered look, the finished bangle was created by connecting 2 independently beaded layers at the bright red edging.

Full description
This unique bangle was hand beaded with size 11/0 Japanese Miyuki Delica glass beads. The pattern of tilted stripes was created in a monochromatic colour combo of dark grey and white, which is offset with splashes of bright gold and red, adding that all important colour and sparkle to the piece. At first glance it might seem that the stripes of both inner and outer layers point in the same direction but that is actually an optical illusion as the stripes of both layers were designed to point in the opposite directions.
The finished bangle measures 52 mm at its widest point and 30 mm at the narrowest, and its circumference measures 20 cm, and was designed to simply slip over your hand.
