Full description
This miniature diorama opens up to reveal a little world in a box; a little cottage sits on a cliff overlooking the moonlit ocean. Gulls circle above the waves and a tiny anchor hangs inside the door. It is inspired by my love of all things nautical and my time working on stage sets in the theatre.
All my dioramas aim to create an alternative little world within a small contained space, something I have always been fascinated by!
The design comes from original drawings which have been transformed into layers of laser cut wood, which I've painted and transferred and built up to form 3d layers. The scene is set into a wooden box which gives you a little hint on the front of what lies inside.
The box measures approx. 8.5cm square and 6cm deep and fastens with a metal catch on the side.
Please note this item is delicate and not a toy.
