Item details

I have been making these small messenger bags to my own pattern for a long time. They were one of the first patterns I perfected and I have made hundreds of them in lots of different sizes over the years. It's nice to add a buckle for a different touch, especially when it matches the fabric so perfectly.

Cross body/messenger bag in a red and beige line print linen. Lined in a beautifully bright floral Liberty print cotton in shades of red, blue, yellow and green.

There is a slip pocket and a zipped pocket with a bright red zip inside the bag, The strap is in the same linen fabric as the exterior and is fully adjustable. The flap closes with a smart red leather buckle which has been hand stitched on to the bag in matching red embroidery thread.

All the metal hardware is bronze coloured.

The bag is fully interlined and interfaced for structure and strength but retains a casual shape and feel.

This is my own pattern.
