It doesn't snow that often at the coast so whenever we did get a flurry in Whitby I was straight out with my camera. On this day, the heavy snow clouds were pierced by sunlight which I just happened to capture illuminating one of the lighthouses. A dusting of snow on the beach inside the harbour against the sea completed the image and I decided to take it on as a drawing. I made the perfect companion to my abbey print and a very limited edition run was produced to celebrate my time at the seaside.

A lovely little study of Whitby harbour on a rare snow day showing the lighthouses. Taken from my original charcoal pencil drawing.
I moved from Whitby to Newcastle recently and decided to do a final series of landscapes honouring my old home town. I chose two drawings to create a very limited run of 50 prints of each, all hand signed and numbered. Each print is securely bagged up with a 6" (approx 15cm) white mount and backing board.
