Inspiration
We are a first generation farming family specialising in native and regenerative farming practices. We grew fed up with the poor price for wool and decided to start turning them into handmade rugs and ornaments.
We run around 30 hebridean sheep which have the most fantastic fleeces. Each year they are slightly different making each rug completely unique.
The farmer will shear the sheep in June to prevent a fatal condition called flystrike and the Farmer's wife wet felts them and turns them into vegetarian rugs.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

Full description
This rug has been woven on a peg loom using wool from Herdwick sheep that live out on the moors in Edale.
It has been woven after the locks have been hand washed with plain old water from a bore hole and dried out in the sunshine. Then the washed locks go through the drum carding machine to create roves of wool that are then woven on the peg loom. It may still smell a little sheepy to begin with but that will soon fade!
As this is a natural product there may still be elements of veg matter retained within the rug. Every effort has been made to remove these but the odd bit may still be lurking. Expect a bit of shedding.
This rug is super nice and thick and would make an excellent fire side rug or bedside rug.
