Item details

My own journey with ovarian cancer and recovery this year led me to pick up embroidery after doing lots of crochet, knitting, cross stitch and various other crafts. I love a quote and a good swear and after having cancer, I thought swear words embroidered felt like a good way to come to terms with what had happened to me and hopefully make others smile. :-)

Full description

A hand embroidered, one off piece featuring the word 'C-ckwomble' surrounded by flowers and foliage. Natural, undyed calico is used as the fabric onto which the words and flowers are stitched.

The piece comes ready to hang in a 5 inch bamboo embroidery hoop and finished at the back with a circle of card to protect the stitches at the back and to add structure. The threads used are a mixture of new and vintage threads passed down to me from my Mums Aunts Mum!

£5 from the sale of this item will be donated to Ovacome ovarian cancer charity that have personally supported and inspired me to create this piece.
