I had seen something similar years ago but made in wood with a wire mesh to poke the stems through. Then I saw a very regimented one made in ceramic that really offered no room for creativity. I thought I can improve on that by making the hole patterns more random and various sizes so that a greater selection of blooms can be displayed together.

Full description
Being a keen gardener and allotmenter I am always looking for ways to display things I bring back. These bud vases have been made to take different sized stems allowing a wide range of flowers to be displayed in creative ways, or just to have a single bloom that you wish to show off. The holes are large enough to allow water to be added and easily poured out once the blooms are over. Bud vases were originally intended to display rose blooms but with the different sized holes you can add anything you want, or whatever you come across in the garden or out walking.
Dimensions are approximate and there may be some slight pattern and colour variation from those shown.
