This lovely Moda fabric returns to William Morris’s garden for inspiration, coloured with subtle shades that echo natural dyes.
Morris was unusual in his choice of flowers. Victorian fashion was for more ornate wallpapers and exotic flowers, but Morris chose to champion many wildlfowers in his designs. He often named his designs after the secondary or background flower in the design, including Pimpernel, which was sold originally as a wallpaper in 1876.

Perfect as a second wedding anniversary gift (traditionally cotton), is this floral fabric button pendant.
Created from gorgeous 100% cotton fabric, this William Morris pattern – called Pimpernel (1876) – is an almost symmetrical pattern of fan-like tulips, with beautiful small yellow pimpernel flowers and foliage on a black or ebony background.
I’ve chosen a tulip slightly off-centre, with pimpernel flowers around one edge. I’ve then created a fabric covered button 3.8cm in diameter with some new toy filling to create a nice dome.
The button was set into an antique bronze plated metal pendant setting (3cm x 4cm inc. bail) and a 24-inch matching cable chain with lobster clasp was added. Optional lengths of chain are available.
This lovely pendant will come safely packaged and ready to gift in a kraft card jewellery boxes with branded logo.
Great for fans of Arts & Crafts and William Morris designs.
A terrific gift idea for someone who loves spring floral jewellery.
Matching 1.5cm Pimpernel fabric button earrings are also available.
