we love being in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside, we collect foliage on our dog walks or from our own gardens, to be able to capture the countryside in a permanent way is fantastic. we take such care when hand pressing th foliage and adding the colour to the imprint to permanently memorialise our finds.

Details
After kneading the clay to remove any air bubbles, each item is made by rolling out the clay and decorated by hand, with foliage from our own garden or foraged from the local Lincolnshire countryside. The foliage is hand pressed in the clay to create an impression. I use vintage stampers to create the lettering detail. They are then bisque fired in the kiln to 1000 degrees c
It is then glazed with glazes and underglazes, carefully painting each area with a different coloured glaze, carefully wiping back lettering and foliage detail before adding a top coat of glaze. I then fire the work again to 1240 deg c. making them suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
