Full description
Everyone loves a ladybird. It holds a fascination which delights people young and old and those in the middle too. A handmade stained glass ladybird makes the perfect gift and can be hung in a sunny window to see the full beauty of the glass. The head and centre body is made from iridescent glass and reflect some beautiful colours.
Made using the copper foil method, each piece of glass is hand cut and grinded to shape. The spots are painted on and then baked at high temperature to fix. Then each piece is wrapped in copper foil before soldering together. The wire work is created and soldered in place and finally the complete ladybirds are washed, waxed and polished.
Each ladybird measures approx. 7.5cm x 9cm
