Full description

A wool felt brooch with a hand embroidered dandelion clock with seeds floating away on a dark grey background. Dandelions are a symbol of spring and one of the earliest flowers available for pollinators. When I was little my mum called them 'wet the beds' and told me that if I picked one then I would wet the bed, she would only let me pick them once they had gone to seed and had become a clock. I'm sure there was a lesson in there. I love to see them grow now that I'm older and find them endlessly inspiring for my stitching. The dandelion seeds design has been backed with thick wool felt to make it satisfyingly sturdy. It has a standard metal brooch back

Measurements approx.- 4.5 x 3.3 cm

Designed by Bekki Stevenson in Staffordshire
