Harris Tweed is a very special fabric; in order to be certified genuine and granted the “Harris Tweed Orb symbol” it has to be
"Handwoven by the islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides, finished in the Outer Hebrides, and made from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides."
In this ever-changing mass-produced world it is a joy to find something so traditional, truly handmade and sustainable.

Full description
A gorgeous gift set, accessorise breakfast for two. A Harris tweed cosy for a small teapot, and two matching egg cosies. I've been making cosies for standard family size teapots for many years. Now I've created the same design in a smaller size for the singles and couples.
I have made these beautiful quality cosies from the world renowned Harris Tweed handwoven fabric in a lovely green and purple check. They are lined in white cotton fabric, and wadded with polyester to keep your tea warm. The Orb label, your guarantee of authentic Harris Tweed fabric is proudly displayed.
This tea cosy is to fit a small (2-3 cup) teapot. It measures 25cm across the base, and 17cm top to bottom to allow for the curve of the pot. The egg cosies are approx. 15cm tall and 10cm wide to slip over your egg in a simple egg-cup.
