A superb and substantially large polished half ammonite which has been carved and polished to create a shallow trinket dish, this would make a wonderful gift for a collector, suitable for display, photographic prop, or just adding to a collection
An ideal gift for an fossil enthusiast or collector.
This ammonite is the only one I have attempted a trinket dish with, as a lot of the Ammonite is lost in the process, therefore shallow, maybe suitable for popping you rings and earrings in.
Equally it is lovely as it is and could be just added to a fossil collection.
The back of this specimen have been carefully smoothed and cleaned, yet left as near to the natural as possible, but has beautiful ridges of the natural fossil and some red iridescence, the front has been very carefully smoothed and polished, so that it is slightly bowled out to make a shallow dish and wonderfully tactile and allow you to see the inner beauty of the ammonite.
This is quite a large specimen, measuring approximately 10cms in length, approx 8cms in width, with a depth of approx 25mms, measurements taken at the ammonite's widest points.
To safeguard this item during transit, it will come bubble,wrapped and in a protective padded envelope.
