"Beautiful Red" isn’t just a piece of jewelry; it is a frozen moment of garden serenity, capturing the bright spirit of a morning songbird nestled within the soft, symbolic shape of a raindrop.
Every element of this piece has been meticulously considered to create a sense of depth and movement. The outer "raindrop" frame is hand-formed from solid sterling silver round wire. This choice of material provides a sturdy, structural border that mimics the tension of a water droplet, while the polished silver surface catches the light to simulate the shimmer of rain.
The robin is hand-pierced from sterling silver sheet. By soldering the bird at the base of the raindrop, the design creates a "grounded" feel, making the bird appear as though it is peering out from a sheltered nook. The features of the robin are carefully textured to give it character and life.
Unlike cold enamels (resins), this piece utilizes genuine glass enamel. After receiving its official hallmark, the Forget-Me-Not flower underwent a high-heat firing process where powdered glass was fused to the silver.
The fully hallmarked pendant size is 3.9 cm high x 2.2 cm wide.
