Full description
These brooches are made using recycled scrap stainless steel blanks measuring 55mm x 2mm. I use a mixture of inks and acrylic paints to build up layers of colour and texture. They are sealed with two layers of clear acrylic.
I found a very old hedgehog blank which had been damaged so after a thorough cleaning and polishing I added acrylics and attached it to the stainless steel disc. This makes a cute, one-off brooch for anyone who loves quirky animal jewellery.
