PLEASE NOTE
I AM UPDATING PRODUCT BOXES FOR JEWELLERY AND DECORATIONS WHICH WILL TAKE AWHILE, IF YOU PURCHASE YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR ORDER IN THE NEW BOXES AS DESCRIBED BELOW.
Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
I love collecting things discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. My favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-created into something new. Bits and bobs of lives all waiting to find new homes.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
Hand crafted Jewellery and framed artworks using pre loved and discarded ceramics. Ceramic material will show signs of wear and damage. Entire process is a creative experience from discovery to final picture, nothing planned or preconceived. All materials personally collected from river banks, charity shops, roadside, woods, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each piece comes with a short bio of where the ceramic came from, date found and re-created. Some shards collected are used as found, others are cut randomly which shape the final work. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Created from ceramic discovered in
charity Shop Penrith October 2021
Re-Created into Earrings October 2021
I visited Penrith October 2021, a lovely market town in Cumbria where I found some interesting pieces of ceramic in the local charity shops. Some were rescue plates from odds and ends boxes, cracked or badly damaged and others were stand out pieces, slightly damaged and perfect for a new project.
Amongst these pieces was a lovely damaged shallow dish, rich blue pattern. I like to allow things to naturally form so gently tapped the plate which then broke along the crack as expected but also sadly shattered. The shards were too small to be able to use for jewellery but there was a small piece from the bottom of the dish that survived.
I drilled holes and gently clipped into two pieces. Sanded backs, sides and sealed with non toxic eco friendly matt sealant, front glaze in tact. Unique one of a kind earrings.
The idea is to create new from old, the finished piece isn’t meant to be perfect or highly polished but to reflect the nature of the ceramic.
Each Earrings measure approximately 17mm x 10mm (widest) x 3mm
Sterling Silver Hooks
Delivered in box with gift bag made from recycled material and includes short bio.
