Full description
Handmade, gold lustre accented fern porcelain charms in Kintsugi style. Charms hang on delicate 20mm gold filled hoops. Each earring is made from an individual fern foraged from the garden making them truly unique.
Suitable for both occasion and everyday wear, these elegant earrings make the perfect gift for a loved one or a lovely treat for yourself.
Process
After impressing the fern and cutting the clay to the desired shape, each piece is smoothed before having its first firing. The bisque porcelain is then polished, decorated by hand and glazed ready for a second high temperature stoneware firing (1235c) which ensures a glossy finish on the front face, as well as giving the charm durability and strength. The reverse is unglazed and polished to a smooth, matt tactile finish. The piece is then decorated with real 24 Karat gold lustre and fired for a third time to produce a bright gold shine.
Packaging
The earrings are packaged in a luxury hand printed grey gift box made with a high level of recycled content and which is itself 100% recyclable.
