I love watching the birds in my garden and observing their different characters. I make lots of drawings as I'm watching and these often become the basis of new pieces of work.

Robin's are such chirpy characters, perfect for brightening your day and your jacket!
Using my trusty old Bernina sewing machine, each robin is free machine embroidered onto a layer of cotton, embellished with tweed and cotton applique and backed with felt. Once I've added all the details a brooch back is hand sewn in place. Each one is unique and has it's own little character. They measure around 6 cm long.
