we love being in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside, we collect foliage on our dog walks or from our own gardens, to be able to capture the countryside in a permanent way is fantastic. we take such care when hand pressing th foliage and adding the colour to the imprint to permanently memorialise our finds.

Relax and enjoy this hand made ceramic decorative tile. A truly unique piece of room decor, pretty as a decorative tile or functional as a coaster or small trivet.
Stoneware clay is pressed with hedgerow flowers and grasses, glazed and fired twice in the kiln making it very resistant to heat. It is cork backed.
The making process is around 3 weeks for each of these tiles, however all of the tiles in our shop are ready to post.
To create each tile, we knead the clay to remove any air bubbles. We roll out the clay and decorate by hand, pressing foliage from our own garden or foraged from the local Lincolnshire countryside into the clay to create an impression. We use vintage stampers to create the lettering detail.
The tiles/coasters are then bisque fired in the kiln to 1000 degrees c
They are then glazed with glazes and underglazes, painting each area with a different coloured glaze, carefully wiping back lettering and foliage detail before adding a top coat of glaze. We then fire the work again to 1240 deg c. making these tiles super durable and suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
Opening the kiln door is so exciting, I love to see the fired work, each one unique. We then finish off each coaster with a cork backing.
Postage is via Royal Mail, signed for 2nd class. For 1st class please message us
