Full description
A beautiful silk and wool, needle felted textile art picture of purple heather fields. This artwork has been created from strips of coloured silk fabric and wool and silk fibres. The silk fabric has been needle felted to a felt base with additional wool and silk fibres added to the surface to blend the colours together and add texture. The needle felting process binds the fibres and fabric together without the need for stitching and adds texture to the surface of the picture. The picture has been mounted on a standard a piece of 6"x4" card and is supplied with a cream coloured 8" x 6" card mount ready to be framed. It is signed on the reverse.
