Full description
These brooches are made using recycled scrap stainless steel blanks measuring 55mm x 2mm. I use a mixture of inks and acrylic paints to build up layers of colour and texture. They are sealed with two layers of clear acrylic.
Because of the different mediums used the finish to the face of the brooch is uneven but I think this makes it more interesting. The back has been polished and sealed. Each one is totally unique.
A repurposed stainless steel blank of an owl has been cleaned then enamelled in different colours. I've then attached this to the stainless steel blank which has been coloured with inks and acrylics. A unique gift for nature lovers.
