All the items in this collection are crafted from reclaimed hops poles.
Yes these items were once stuck in a field in the Worcestershire countryside supporting the fruits for your favourite beverage! The poles, having gone into retirement, have now been hand crafted into the items of this collection.
Each item is completely unique and may have many features from its past life, weathering, cracks, splits, staple and 'U' nail holes. If you're looking for a perfect bit of wood then these are not for you. We consciously try to select timber that reflects the history from its previous life and do not over finish areas that were part of the original exterior in order to retain some of the original patina.
In doing so each piece tells its own unique story!
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.

Knick knack Shelf
This interesting small shelf unit from our reclaimed hops pole collection is perfect for displaying your knick knacks on.
The chunky shelves portray a certain rustic sturdiness and to ensure that is not just about looks the shelves are dowelled and glued in place, so no assembly required, and the whole unit can be fixed to a wall using the 5mm diameter countersunk holes. (Please use appropriate fixings for your wall).
The shelf unit is 33cm high and has an overall width of 43cm and a depth of 11cm. Each shelf is 33cm wide x 8cm deep. the distance between shelves is 14cm. (Please note all dimensions are approximate).
The shelf is finished with a natural oil to bring out the wood grain and other features unique to the material that it is made from.
Please note, the photo is of a typical example and will not be identical to the one you receive, as due to the nature of the material used each piece is completely unique.
