This piece of wood was crying out to be rescued and suited being turned into something useful such as a desk tidy.

Full description
This is a small pot made from a rescued Ash log. I could not let this go on the fire as it is a nicely seasoned piece of wood which deserved to be preserved. It is approx. 70mm (3 inches) high and 90mm (3 1/2 inches) across. It is finished with oil and wax and if necessary can be re polished with the same. I’ve been using another similar pot as a desk tidy for a while to hold rubber bands, paper clips etc.
