Daffodil flowers in my garden and on kerbsides are my inspiration for their iconic, immediately recognisable shape and elegance.
And of course the colour! That's what's so striking about them isn't it?
I hope you enjoy the photo of the collage in situ, with the real daffodils (a gift from a baby shower!)
The daffodils were part of an Instagram challenge for March - AMonthInFlowers by a fellow Folksy shopkeeper. Check it out by searching for the hashtag.
I often begin by painting papers to get the colours before cutting out the image and sewing into place.

Who could not be inspired by the delightful daffodils?
These take the theme of everlasting flowers to a new level!
They are such a symbol of spring, of lighter evenings and warmer days and the garden coming back to life.
This paper collage echoes the loveliness of the colours with watercolour painted papers cut out for the flower heads and sewn with green stalks (musical painted papers) onto the music paper background.
Finished with a simple edging machine sewn border.

The listing is for the unframed, unmounted paper collage.
This original, one-of-a-kind artwork measures approximately 15 x 18.5cm.
It will be posted securely wrapped in a compostable cello wrap with card and recycled packaging for protection. If you can reuse the packaging please do :)
