Full description
Fused glass shallow dish made from narrow strips of black and opaque blue glass. It takes three firings in the kiln to produce this effect. First, the blue glass is cut into strips and fired over ceramic formers and then alternate strips are turned over. Strips of black glass are threaded through the resulting channels and the piece is fired again to fuse all the strips together. Finally the piece is fired again over a former to produce the dish shape.
The dish measures 20 x 15cm approx, and has a maximum depth of 3cm.
Perfect as a standalone decorative piece or could also be used as a small fruit bowl.
Please handwash, and do not use abrasive scourers. Polish dry with a soft cloth.
