Besides its natural beauty and ability to oxidise and transform, 100% of copper can be recycled without any loss of its original mined quality. Over 80% of the copper mined since it was discovered thousands of years ago is still in use today.
Those who happen to be deficient in copper may benefit from wearing it in jewellery form, such as necklaces, rings and bracelets. It is a good way of taking in the small amount of the mineral needed, without overwhelming the body. The healing properties of copper has been reported by some to relieve the symptoms of arthritis and circulation problems.
In the UK, copper is traditionally associated with the ninth year of marriage (7th in the USA), its beauty and malleability symbolising the way a married couple can bend to accommodate each other after nine long years.

From my deluxe wearable art collection.
An ideal and distinctive piece that certainly draws the eye. A great alternative to wearing a tie or scarf.
Measures approximately 9cm in length and wingspan at the widest point. Ellie is a 21 inch, bare cooper and silver plate copper necklace set with a toggle clasp the the back.
Introducing you to 'Ellie' the Fairy, who has been intricately handmade in my home studio, using sustainable copper craft wire and silver plated craft wire and her lower wings were wrapped with a rose gold plated copper. She not only brings something unique and head-turning but she is one of her kind due to shaping her and making her freestyle.
Allowing myself to zone out for two days and focus on letting the wires guide my hands. She was born out of pure creativity. I chose three tones to enhance her details. She holds a beautiful silver heart charm and has wonderful spiralled copper locks.
Not suitable for young children.
