Hi, I'm Tanya from Lichfield and I wire wrap copper and gemstone jewellery.

Tanmade With Love launched on folksy in September 2020. I work from a small craft room in Lichfield, Staffordshire, where I create a selection of unique handmade jewellery you don’t typically see on the high street. What initially began as a hobby soon developed into a small business thanks to some encouragement from friends and family. I love to create one of a kind pieces using the ancient art of wire wrapping. The love of wire weaving fast became a passion at a time I needed more creativity in my life. Crafting, no matter what you choose to do, can be a cathartic experience. I am greatly inspired by amazing tutors such as Nicole Hanna, Kelly Jones, and Christina Larsen. They provided the knowledge for me to learn and develop the techniques and confidence to create my own designs too. Wire wrapping is great source of therapy, along with cuddles from my little old dog Baxter.

I've collected crystals and gemstones for years, and now love working with copper. Even more so given its sustainability and is 100% recyclable. Some of the earliest jewellery ever discovered was made from copper and gemstone. I personally love the colours and natural patinas that develop over time (or with the help of a sulphur bath).
