I love finding ways of using up scraps of fabric which would otherwise be thrown away. There are very few odds and ends that don't find their way into becoming either a letter on a piece of bunting, a tail on a fabric bird or used to create a thank you note.
I've created some 'Merry Christmas' banners in the past but love the pastel florals used to make this version. It would be lovely to think that this banner could find an appreciative new home where it could be brought out for many Easters to come!

Vintage style Easter banner created from snippets of leftover floral fabric, including odds and ends of Liberty, Tilda and Tania Whelan material.
The banner has been created from white vintage cotton and features the wording 'Happy Easter'. The lettering has been cut by hand and then machine-appliqued in place. It is edged in a co-ordinating white and yellow floral bias binding and has two hanging loops at the top. The banner is backed with the same white cotton fabric.
Please be aware that the lettering has been cut from leftover snippets of fabric and may vary slightly from banner to banner, but will be extremely similar to those shown here. The cotton fabric is cut from vintage sheeting and, as such, may have the odd blemish or flaw.
This would look lovely as part of an Easter display and is the perfect antidote to plastic decorations. I have shown it decorating my own dresser and have used some sticky hooks to hang it in place. Alternatively you could use drawing pins or pegs to display it.
The banner measures approximately 80cm long x 16cm wide.
Please note this is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of babies and small children.
I have one banner stitched and ready to post and will be stitching any further banners to order.
