I love nature and spending time outdoors, so using a leaf to texture silver seemed a good idea to me. I love how all the tiny veins can be seen! The colour of citrine is a warm golden-yellow, and contrasts well with the silver. Perhaps the citrine colour reminds you of the sand? I am always dreaming of the sea! Citrine is the birthstone for November.
