The piece is about the beauty of nature and the importance of bees. The colourful flowers represent the flowers pollinated and visited by the bee while the black and white flowers are waiting to be pollinated and visited. They are waiting to kind of come alive like the colourful flowers.
I wanted to draw a bee and some flowers, then I decided to draw the geometric shapes for added interest. I knew I was going to have a mix of coloured and black and white flowers so I thought about putting the coloured ones in the shapes, spreading out.
And before I knew it, this picture and it's little story was made.

Beauty and the Bee is a beautiful piece of artwork featuring flowers and a bee.
The detailed black and white flowers were drawn using black, grey and white, fine line pens. The coloured flowers and the bee were drawn using blendable artist pens and fine line pens. I added a some bronze gold metallic paint to add a little bit of shimmer.
This is a print of my original artwork. It is printed with high quality inks on thick 220gsm textured canvas paper. It comes finished with a 10x8 inch art frame mount and is in a cello bag to protect it.
I will dispatch within working 48 hours and use Royal Mail.
