“The small Standing Labrador sculpture wasn’t a commission, but was done for myself. Or more accurately, I’d had a lot of lovely visitors ask for a smaller labrador when they visited me at our shows. I try to listen to what people would like to see. And I admit making a smaller labrador sculpture was definitely a really nice one to do. They are such gorgeous dogs and I wanted to capture in the sculpture their beauty, energy and loyalty.”

How its made: Bronze metal powder is mixed with a resin to make the Bronze Resin material, which has the appearance of Foundry Bronze metal. This process creates a material that is more affordable and lightweight.
