I sold a Noah's Ark shawl as a gift for a retiring priest, and instead of reproducing it (which I never do) I decided to make a wall hanging on the same theme, featuring some of the same animals, but smaller and quite different.

Full description
I am very proud of this wall hanging, which could equally well be used as a cot or pram blanket. It is a true heirloom piece, worked on dusky pink acrylic Afghan fabric. Entirely my own design and hand work, it depicts the traditional Old Testament story of Noah's ark, the animals approaching two by two, being welcomed by Noah and his wife. The animals include crows, rats, turtles, frogs, penguins, cats, pigs, kangaroos, giraffes and horses. A colourful (and accurate) rainbow encloses the ark.
The hem at the top of the hanging I have left open at the ends so that a dowel may be inserted to facilitate hanging. (This is not included.) I have fringed the bottom edge. The work measures 24" (61 cm.) from top to fringe, and is 19" (48 cm.) wide. It can be hand-washed in warm water and dried naturally. Do not tumble dry
