Full description
This handsome hand crafted wood twist pen is made with cocobolo wood. Originally from central America, it spent its early life as a bed frame before being dumped into a skip from where I rescued it.. Complimented by the yellow gold-plate tip, clip, centre band and top finial, the lovely dark brown grain with its faint purple undertone makes a perfect gift. I have turned both barrels to be widest at the centre, so balancing the pen to the middle. The writing nib is propelled and retracted by rotating the two halves of the pen in opposite directions, and it uses a Cross refill (black ink supplied) which can be changed by puling the two halves of the pen apart. For those who like to know, it weighs 24g, is 128mm long and 15mm wide.
