Full description
A cute little windchime, made with upcycled vintage cutlery. The perfect gift for someone you love, this will last much longer than flowers or chocolate! A pair of vintage coffee spoons and a cake fork are hand stamped with the message 'I love you - more than coffee - or cake' and embellished with little hearts. I've carefully wired the cutlery to delicate stainless steel chains that dangle from a vintage napkin ring.
The lettering is coloured with acrylic paint (so I can't guarantee it'll be colourfast if you hang it outdoors... also the paint is non-toxic but even so I don't recommend removing the items and using them to eat/drink your actual tea and cake, just in case) and the chime is approximately 28cm long, including hanging ring and swivel.
Please note these are vintage spoons and fork so they are not all perfect and shiny. Their bumps, dings, scratches and worn plating all testify to the long existence they've already had. Who knows how many cups they've stirred or cakes they've dug into, and how many hands have washed them up over the years? And now they have a new lease of life as the bearers of a message of love...
The chime tinkles prettily in the breeze and would make a lovely addition to a vintage-themed kitchen, conservatory, or anywhere the recipient drinks their coffee and eats their cake!
