Tiger's Eye (also called Tiger's-Eye, Tiger Eye, Tigers Eye or Tiger Iron) is a popular member of the Quartz family that is usually amber to golden-brown, with a silky lustre, and displays 'chatoyancy', or 'cat's eye'- the characteristic vertical flash when it catches the light.
In ancient Egypt, the stone was believed to be all-seeing, and was used for the eyes of deities.
Roman soldiers wore it in battle in the belief it would give them the courage and strength of a tiger.
It is still regarded as a stone of courage, strength and vitality, and is popular in both men's and women's jewellery.

Full description
This attractive, unisex necklace features a small, 10x12mm Agate teardrop, highlighted with copper and frosted black Onyx round beads, and set between trios of 6x4mm Tiger's Eye rondelles that alternate with 6x8mm Tiger's Eye tubes.
The Agate teardrop has grey and creamy-gold patterns on one side, and lighter grey and cream on the other.
The necklace then graduates from 6mm frosted black Onyx to a mix of 4mm Tiger's Eye and frosted black Onyx.
The Tiger's Eye beads are a lovely golden-brown, with a silky sheen and the characteristic flash of chatoyancy.
The patterns contrast well with the matt black Onyx, and the addition of a few 3mm copper beads add a subtle shine.
The necklace fastens with a simple, black metal toggle clasp that is nickel and lead free.
This necklace measure approximately 19 inches (48cm).
You necklace will be wrapped in tissue and presented in an organza gift bag.
