I've always loved the stylised sea creatures on ancient maps, and love dolphins and the folklore around them, and wanted to bring these together to make an ancient-looking dolphin amulet or talisman necklace, to give the wearer protection and strength. I made the necklace out of solid sterling silver, and gave it an oxidised blackened finish to give it an edgier look and make it look even more like an ancient treasure. This isn't a cutesy dolphin - it's a dolphin for someone who's a bit different. I hope it finds the right home, and brings protection and joy! x

Full description
Solid silver necklace in the form of an ancient-looking dolphin. Handmade in Shropshire from solid sterling silver, given an oxidised (blackened) finish for an edgier feel, and deliberately made to look like an ancient treasure.
Sent on a 20" chain with bolt clasp (can be swapped for an 18" chain if requested when ordering).
Your necklace has been given a protective sealant layer, but the blackened finish is designed to gradually wear away over time, to reveal the silver - this process personalises the piece, as the finish will change where high points are touched or affected by friction as it sits next to your skin, making it uniquely yours.
Dolphins symbolise harmony, balance, honour and protection.
This particular dolphin necklace is a slight second, having a small area of damage on it's tail (pictured). Usually retailing at £125, I've massively reduced the price of this necklace as a result - total bargain, especially as the design is meant to look antique!
