My love for flowers. After a long cold winter, it is the first sign of brighter days ahead. A real sign of hope!

Full description

The warm feeling inside everyone gets when they spot a snowdrop is the first sign that spring is just around the corner. After a cold hard winter it signifies new beginnings and brighter days ahead.

These snowdrop ornaments are unique as each uses different speciality stained glass to create a piece of the outdoors. Each piece of glass is cut, grinded to shape then wrapped in copper foil before soldering. The black patina is applied to the solder which creates a good contrast to the glass. The solder is then waxed to give it its rich colour. Brass rods are used for stems and fixed into a wooden slice. The wooden slice has been oiled and some dried moss around the base finishes the setting nicely.

Each piece measures approx 13cm in height.
