My inspiration for making this piece is twofold, firstly is the sheer cuteness of Highland Cows, particularly the ginger ones! Don't get me started on how GORGEOUS I think the calves are, they're so full of character too. I dream of seeing one in real life one day but in the meantime I'm content in making this one and perhaps adding to the herd at a later date. Secondly, I found a fabulous Highland Cow pattern, originally using yarn, by Cottontail and Whiskers and took that as a sign to make one myself.
