Creator of limited edition, contemporary crochet, a perfect edition to you home or as a special gift for someone you care about.

Hi,

I'm Siobhan, a Somerset based creative originally from the Wirral. I live in a lovely little village with my Husband and our funny little boy. I also have a wonderful grown up Step Son who is raising his own little family now, two beautiful and energetic girls.

By day I am lucky enough to work with children and have done for well over 20 years. For the last 14 of those years, I have mainly worked with children who have additional needs, specifically Social and Communications difficulties, It is my job to help them find their voice, to make and build relationships and to understand their emotions.

By night, well early evening actually as I'm not really a night owl, I crochet. It is my happy place and one of the only things that quietens my busy brain after an even busier day. I learned to crochet after becoming pregnant with our Son, I was determined to be the one to make him his first blanket and I did! Was it perfect? Absolutely not, but it was a functioning blanket and I made it. I was hooked (I'm so sorry, I couldn't help myself). I have made so many things since then and my love for crochet has only grown and by 'grown' I don't just mean emotionally, I mean physically too. I've accumulated so much art and craft related items over the years that I've had to change the spare room into a designated work and storage place although even that is getting to be a bit of a squeeze.

I have had a love of all things art and craft related since being a young child, in fact one of my earliest memories is of making a tea set out of plasticine, I used my big Sister's new case type record player as the potter's wheel and the oven as the kiln. Needless to say I was not popular and I remained unpopular until the smell of burning plasticine disappeared from every room in the house and my Sister was able to get back to playing her Top Of The Pops records. You may be pleased to read that I swiftly moved on to much safer outlets for my creativity and expanded on those over the next 40+ years.

I have a curious mind and love challenging myself and making things I've never made before, which is one of the main reasons I ended up crocheting with wire. I couldn't sleep one night, I saw some wire that I'd bought for inside of a figure and wondered if I'd be able to crochet with it. It turned out I could, well not very easily with that one as it was too thick but with a bit of trial and error I found ones that were a little easier to work with. My love for the challenge means I prefer not to make lots of the same thing which is why people who buy any item from me can be assured that it will most definitely be a limited edition. I am not a machine that will churn out 500 of the exact same product, I am one person who makes each and every item by hand with love and with purpose.

Well, that's probably enough about me. If you'd like to see more of my creative journey, you can find me on Instagram as Time.Crafter.Time.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my shop, I hope you like what you saw.

Take care
