I adore wet felting and am basically self taught but have been to a class to learn the basics. 2018 was a big making time but since then I have been distracted with caring for mum and dad that big projects have taken a bit of a back step in my life. The artwork I have currently are pieces I had in Huddersfield Art Galley shop before they closed for refurbishment (and Covid). So they have been boxed in my craft room as I’ve not done any craft fairs that would show them off to their best. Hope everyone like them and I can find new homes for them as they need to escape from my craft room and find a new home.

Full description
This piece is needle felted onto a wet felted piece of purple shades. This makes up most of the background and I have added some machine free motion embroidery to give some texture and hint at a Heather strewn hillside. I then added a machine free motion embroidered tree and hand embroidered some generic yellow flowers in the foreground resulting what I think is a pretty countryside picture.
I’ve mounted in a Plastic ornate frame in a creamy colour it measures 10.5 x 11cm with no mount , but the frame graduates down so it does look like a mount is in place if you squint. This means that the aperture to display the art work is 5.5 x 6.5cm The frame has a glass cover and can be hung on the wall or will stand on a shelf as it has a pop out arm to rest on.
