Full description
I painted this sparrowhawk after seeing it in my garden. It's painted in acrylics on a smooth river stone and sealed with satin varnish. Each of these is unique because I paint directly on the stone. The pebble is approximately 7cm x 5cm and 1cm thick.
Being a natural item there will be surface imperfections on the stone. I try to photograph these as accurately as I can but colour can appear differently on different monitors and devices.
