A love of the sea, Scotland’s coasts and islands, and the joys of growing and drying flowers for use in the home has led our family to establish Scents of Arran.
We’re passionate about island living, and sharing the multi-sensory wellbeing benefits of being close to plants and flowers.
Making sure we do this in a sustainable way, choosing recycled, re-usable and eco-friendly supplies, packaging and production methods, is equally important to us. It’s a learning process, and one that we are fully committed to.
We‘re also committed to providing the best customer service, so we promise to reply quickly to your messages and take on board your feedback.

Full description
The sophisticated, sweetly-scented Lily of the Valley has symbolised many things to people over the centuries including love, luck, discretion and sincerity. In ancient times it signified humility and purity, as well as Ostara, the goddess of the coming of Spring and the growing light. Today, the small, bell-shaped flowers are popular in wedding posies and are often linked with motherhood and happiness, but most formally with Spring, especially the month of May.
In our cottage garden this low maintenance, reliable plant plays a vital part in brightening up the shadiest and dampest spots. But the fragrance of the cut flowers indoors is just as uplifting, and unmistakable. Using only the best quality, eco-friendly soy wax and your choice of 1 or 2 sustainable beeswax wicks our hand-poured, pale green candle is infused with the essential oil of this evocative flower and decorated with dried daisies. Its large glass container also not only looks good, but is perfect for many years’ re-use as a vase or jar in your home.
