Full description
This stoneware ceramic jug has been thrown in my little home pottery studio.
After biscuit firing to 950 degrees I painted the jug using coloured underglazes taking my inspiration from lakeside reed beds...and as always the stems were painted with a credit card and the seedheads with the side of a scruffy old paintbrush...funny how the oddest, cheapest tools often give the best finish!
The jug measures about 10cm tall and the diameter of the base is 8cm. It pours well and would be great for oil or vinegar...or maybe it just wants to look pretty on a shelf!
Either way, it would make a great present and I'll supply it in a brown recyclable box.
