I am such a HUGE fan or Gnomes, Tomtes and Gonks and naturally got really excited when I saw this fabric in my local store - had to make these cute earrings with this waving gnome girl!

If you love Gnomes, Tomtes or Gonks, these earrings are just for you!
Created using 100% cotton fabric from UK design company Lewis and Irene – famous for their whimsical designs, this fabric features boy and girl gnomes holding lanterns, walking or for these earrings, waving, on a soft green background!
Here is a pair of girl Gnomes, with long plaits and wearing a red pointy hat with zig zag design. She is wearing a teal-coloured dress with a big white star and she’s waving hello!
These earrings measure 2.8cm and make a statement, but are lightweight enough to be comfortable.
I’ve created two 28mm fabric covered flat backed buttons featuring this girl gnome and added some toy filling to create a nice dome. An FSC approved birch plywood wooden disc was then secured to the reverse of the button. I’ve simply sealed the wood with specialist microcrystalline wax to let the natural grain of the wood shine through.
Silver plated heart shape bails were secured with jeweller’s grade glue to the back of each earring and I’ve added silver plated surgical steel earring hooks with scroll and ball detail. Surgical steel is extra hypoallergenic and perfect for those with sensitive skin.
The total drop length of these stunning maximalist earrings is 5.5cm.
These fabulously unique earrings, will come to you in an eco kraft card jewellery box with brand logo - perfect for gifting to that gnome, tomte or gonk fan (or to keep as a gift for yourself of course!)
