A few years ago I took part in an exhibition with the title `Tracks, Pathways & Routes` & this etching was one of my works produced in response to the idea. Being interested in pre-historic sites & loving maps, this design came about from looking at aerial views over a landscape rich in the shapes of round barrows & the ancient trackway known as the Ridgeway, hence the title.
I also produced many drawings based on maps & combined the two ideas into the finished work.

Full description
A bold abstract design of circles & lines in blue/black with background colours of rust & green.
This etching is inspired by aerial views & map drawings over a landscape of ancient barrows, trackways & field patterns. This etching plate was deep bitten to get the basic shapes of circle & lines. A soft ground was then applied to add texture & pattern to the plate.
Image size 22cm x 25cm. This is a unique print, due to the application of colour.
Supplied unframed & packaged flat in a postal box.
