Festive baking and the delightful aroma of gingerbread is associated with winter and Christmas and these earrings are just perfect!
These cute gingerbread earrings are made from 100% cotton fabric featuring gingerbread people, trees, hearts and stars on a dark green background with dots.
Here I’ve created a mirrored pair of fabric covered flat backed 2.3cm buttons featuring a gingerbread person with white bowtie and red shorts. I’ve added some toy filling to create a nice dome and then secured a birch plywood wooden disc to the reverse of each button.
I’ve simply sealed the wood with specialist microcrystalline wax to let the natural grain of the wood shine through. Gold plated leaf shaped bails were then secured to the back of each earring.
Earring hooks are gold plated stainless steel with scroll detail.
Stainless steel is hypoallergenic and is great for those with sensitive skin.
The drop length of these stunning seaside earrings is approximately 3cm.
