The smell of warm gingerbread baking in the oven and for many that delightful aroma is associated with winter and Christmas and this brooch embodies this – a Gingerbread girl brooch!
This cute brooch is made from 100% cotton fabric featuring gingerbread people, trees, hearts and stars on a dark green background with dots.
Here I’ve created a 28mm fabric covered flat backed button featuring a gingerbread girl in an apron. I’ve added some toy filling to create a nice dome and then secured a birch plywood wooden disc to the reverse of the button.
I’ve simply sealed the wood with specialist microcrystalline wax to let the natural grain of the wood shine through. I have then secured a stainless steel brooch back with safety clasp. The brooch back is nickel, cadmium and lead free.
As the brooch measures just under 3cm, it's a nice size to wear on your jacket, jumper or blouse - or even on a bag!
This unique brooch will come to you safe and carefully packaged in a UK Made eco-friendly recycled kraft card jewellery box - perfect for gifting to a friend who loves baking, gingerbread or Christmas - or to keep as a gift for yourself!
