This vase reminds me of columns on Ancient Greek temples. Starting with a thrown cylinder, I flared out the mouth to create this trumpet-shape. I really enjoy using fluting to decorate pots and the glaze is a rich metallic bronze with gold-coloured flecks. This would look good in a strong light, on a windowsill or under a lamp.
